Not virtually!

Hello everybody! I hope everyone is doing well. As many of you know I hadn’t been posting regularly because of my bouts of anxiety and overthinking that worsened over the course of the last few weeks . Things have been a wee bit better and I am working hard towards healing myself. Whoever is going through the same emotions, I know it is hard to cope. However I also know you are strong enough to deal with it and hope you feel better, soon. Do reach out, people. You can even share your thoughts in my comments section. Trust me letting go of things holding you back would help you breathe freely.

Lately I tried some writing excercises to calm myself down. I have decided to share one of my pieces with all of you. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Prompt-Think about the last time you were scared. Characterize the situation and write a short story in about 120-140 words.

Sweating profusely, Rishab clicked open the link in his mailbox, only to discover his worst nightmare had finally come true. His face was plastered all over the Internet, people were accusing him of deeds he had not committed and there were threats to harm him and his family. Everything came crashing downhill for him, suddenly. His dreams, his normal life, his plans for future, all came to a standstill, all because of a harmless video game, he had downloaded.

There were only two options left, he could either lie low, leave the country with his family and never return or he could fight back till everything returned to normal, till he proved his innocence. As opposed to his personality, of never standing up for himself, Rishab chose the later and did the first thing that seemed sensible; logged in, in his social media accounts to delete them forever and face all his problems, not virtually, but head on, this time.

  1. I’m glad you’re feeling better. I have been anxious for the last several weeks, but I feel the fog starting to lift now. My birthday is this Friday (the 7th), so I’m excited to celebrate!
